WHO IS YOUR TEACHER – - – - – FIRST

We don’t usually think of my idea of who is your first teacher. Most people will name their kindergarten teacher or their first grade teacher – - but – - if you think hard enough you will come to the conclusion that your first teacher was your MOTHER. Not your father because he was out working and making life pleasant for the family.

Mother Dear generally has influence over the children first and foremost and good ole dad has time to play on the weekends.  Mom has more influence over the girls and more of her traits rub off on the girls.  In this day and age we don’t think of mom teaching the girls the fine art of cooking and housekeeping.

So what do the girls pick up from mom?

These young very impressive girls get a triple dose of ATTITUDE.

My reason for writing this post is to let all of you African-American males know what we may have had to contend with.  Something that is all powerful and is something that has been passed down from mother to daughter from the beginning of time.

In the animal world and the insect world the females of the species are always the most ruthless.  Take for instant the male Black Widow Spider, when he gets that amorous urge and goes looking for a fair lady spider, he is putting his life on the line, for the lady has a penchant for dining on her lovers.

Now getting back to the human race, Afro-Americans have been mistreated for so long and the women have suppressed their feeling all that time.  They have expressed it to their families, but to a greater extent have held it inside.  They show a little bit sometimes when problems get the best of them.

Our females have an attitude problem that goes back generations.  Men have you ever wondered why we have so much trouble with our females.  They are taught to be mean and they push us to be mean.  Pay attention sometime, men get along fine until a woman gets involved, then all hell breaks loose.  They will play men until a man feels as though he has been neutered.  He is pushed until he has to poke his chest out and as I say, “Sell Wolf Tickets.”  When that happens, along comes someone that buys that ticket.  Now what do we have?

Well we have two people that are primed to be killed.  Have you ever paid attention to a group of men sitting around a BBQ Pit or just hanging  out?  As long as there is no woman involved, they are laughing and joking.  No one is even considering getting in an argument.   And nothing will happen, as long as the Black Widow  does not show up.  But if she comes on the scene and there is one guy that she doesn’t like and that man is having a good time along with her old man, be careful young man.

Now let’s get back to the teacher part of this post.  Momma has let her true feelings come out at home.  Daddy gets the raw end of the stick because he is a family member.  As the saying goes, “You always hurt the ones you love.”

The women don’t mean to hurt the ones they love but they have been trained so well in not letting anyone get the best of them.  They don’t know it but the smallest thing sets them off.  They are impatient and hate to wait.  They blame everyone for their short comings.  These things they learned from their mothers, who got it from their mothers and so on back.

So when your ole lady is giving you hell, don’t blame it on her.  You know who to blame it on.  Oh, by the way, they do pick up some of that nasty attitude from her sisters in crime, simply because one family does not hold all the secrets so they do cross family lines.

Have a great day.  Watch out for that Black Widow……

MAYA ANGELOU STRIKES AGAIN

THIS WOULD BE  FUNNY IF IT WEREN’T SO EYE OPENING .  HOPEFULLY A LOT OF YOUNG AND OLD PEOPLE WILL READ THIS AND UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF THE POWER OF THE DOLLAR.  IT IS NOT ONLY HOW YOU SPEND YOUR DOLLAR, IT IS HOW SOMEONE ELSE SPENDS YOUR DOLLAR.

You are in love with Tommy,
Because his last name is Hilfiger,
But behind closed doors, Tommy,
Is calling you a n*gger,

But you could care less,
Because you have been taught to dress to impress,
If I ask you about your true history,
You would have to look on the back of your jeans and Guess,

You come up in the club wearing Versace,
Clothes made by a homosexual male,
So even when you say you are straight,
It is very hard to tell,
And for footwear, you wear Timberlands,

Even under the sun,
That same tree that’s the symbol for them,
Could have been the same one your ancestors were hung from,

I cannot forget Nautica,
When was the last memory you have of ships,
Coming to North America in shackles,
Being beaten over the back with whips,

And to my beautiful black queens,
Whose creative womb has become barren,
I am confused because your face says Nefertiti,
But your sweater reads Donna Karen,

When was the last time you saw Liz Claiborne,
Conversing with black women,
But as soon as her name is printed on a purse,
To Macy’s you quickly go, running,

Ralph Lauren doesn’t even look at black men,
Unless t hey are driving him around town,
But as soon as that slave master appears on the back of a horse,
You put whatever you have picked up down,

My people reclaim your status in this world and in your life,
F.UB.U. in case you didn’t know, stands for ( For Us By Us),
Buying black will someday suffice,
Do you know who owns Timberland fashion?

Well, Timberland is owned by the president of the KKK,
Surprised? Don’t be.
Read more books black people,
Always hope for the best and prepare for the worst,
You may not get what you pay for,
But you’ll surely pay for what you get.
