This article was suppose to be about legislation that is pending in Baton Rouge that will require people on welfare to be screened for drugs.  I am all for that sort of screening, but blacks will say that it is there just to harass the black people.   Well white people use drugs just as much as black people but we live in a state where there are more blacks on the welfare rolls than whites, so you can say that they may be targeting blacks.  At the same time you can also say that blacks are doing it to themselves.  No one is twisting anyone’s arm to make them use drugs.

The question is……  Why must we use drugs?  Do we use drugs for medicinal reasons or do we use drugs to feel good.  The answer to that question is, “to feel good.”  Do we have to have them?  NO.  Would we die without them?  NO.  Would the world come to an end without them?  HELL NO.  Would we be happier without someone spending our money on drugs?  YES, YES, YES.

Each and every person that has commented on this subject their comment has at least one redeeming point, but the main one that should be considered but will not, is the one that makes it manditory for anyone receiving any kind of compensation from our government is subject to be tested for drugs without prior notice.  This should not be construed as being racial because the money that they receive is the money belonging to every man, woman, and child in the state of residence or the union.

If a person has any type of job that is connected to the federal, state, or local government, they should be subject to submit to random drug testing.  All lower levels of employment of the federal, state, and cities require their employees to be tested.  As a matter of fact you must be tested to just get the job.

I don’t think that anyone that is not using drugs will ever object to being tested. Only those people that have something to hide will object or try every trick in the book to hide the presence of drugs in their system.  The only bad thing about thinking of fooling the system is there are more than one method of testing, and you never know which one is going to be used.

Some people will tell you that the government has enough control over our lives, but if you consider what is happening in this country and what it takes to keep it on an orderly track.  Almost everyone is trying to circumvent our laws or rules.  Everyone is a doctor and will tell you that drugs won’t hurt you.  They will have every excuse in the world for doing what they are doing even though they know it is wrong.

The blacks will say that the people enacting laws that effect a small portion of the population are racist and congress is doing this just to find something against the black people.   They will say that welfare laws are set-up just to stop helping the black people.  Well if you check the older recipients, say sixty-five or older that are on welfare don’t use drugs and maybe they are also on medicare and medicade.  There are lots of white people that also fall into this group.  These people need assistance just to survive and in a lot of cases, what they receive is not sufficient.

The republicans will say that the money that these people receive is driving us into more debt, but if things were equal and their big businesses had treated people better long ago, maybe a larger number of these people would not be relying on the government to take care of them.  Of course argument can be made for both sides of this problem.

THE END………………….

Oh yeah! I knew it could and would happen. Leave it to our president to come up with a bee-u-ti-ful come back.

“The Donald” thought that he had something going when he attacked “OUR” President, trying to prove he was not born in the United States.  We have found out that President Barack Obama has an Irish background.  This just goes to show “THE DONALD”, that he should not mess with the White House, that he will get mud in his face.  (And then what would he look like?)

Maybe he will keep his little pinch mouth closed.

This was written with tongue stuck in cheek.

Removing Tax Breaks of Oil and Gas Companies

A few days ago we heard the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, Republican from the state of Ohio, state that the  tax credits that the oil and gas companies are getting should be removed.  His reasoning for this is because of the gigantic profits they are reaping at these hard times that the U.S. public are going through at this time.

The oil companies are hitting us with higher and higher cost at the pumps and then they are still getting our tax dollars simply because our elected officials are afraid of losing the contributions from the oil companies.  I say if these congress men and women, and senators are afraid of losing election contributions they need to be elected out of office.  We do not need anyone that is controlled by big money.  They are not working for  us they are in bed with the enemy.

That is one thing I have been saying for a long time.  Big money corporations don’t have our well-being in mind and its the same for a good number of our law makers.  Get rid of the ones that don’t have our welfare in mind.  Our homegrown senator DAVID VITTER, is against taking the tax credit away from the oil companies.  What in hell do our elected officials think we are made of?

Now that we have one day in which the oil prices drop a few cent and the price of gasoline came down by about 9/10th of a cent, I hope that the people that  want to ban the tax credits to the oil companies don’t change their minds.  The 9/10th of a cent will not purchase a drop of gas.

I can’t understand Sen. Vitter’s thinking even though he is from Louisiana.  He should have some concern for the people of this state.  We are not the richest state in the union and we have been through so much since the year 2000.  We still haven’t gotten over  the devastation that was caused by the BP oil spill and the lies that that company was feeding us.

Yesterday when I heard that the price of a barrel of oil had dropped below one hundred dollars, I texted as many people as I could, telling them not to buy gas until today, just to see how much the price will come down.  I haven’t been out today but I truthfully don’t think that the price will drop that much.

It is on everyone’s mind that the pictures of dead Bin Laden should be released. I don’t think that it would serve any purpose to have a look at those pictures.

Even his family has admitted that the man is dead.

The U.S. has been after this man for ten years and now that they say that he has been killed and has been identified by DNA, someone, as usual came up with the thought that the government was lying.

Why would that person or those persons ask why do we continue funding or giving aid to Pakistan when they are harboring terrorist?

And  on top of that, who is the smart person that released the photographs of the wrecked helicopter?  Another thing is, why does the news media keep stirring the pot regarding the photos.

It seems that the elected officials give away all of our goodies.  We give them the power and they really take advantage of it.

Everyone, in their own way is discussing the price of gasoline now. The main thing that we cannot understand is why the cost keeps going up by two or three cents a day.

Why do we keep getting bilked by the oil companies when they are making record profits of more than 50% over last year? They are robbing the American people daily when it is unnecessary. I can understand the increase of gasoline but what I can’t understand is, why if they are making record profits do we have to keep subsidizing them to the tune of 4 billion dollars per year.

It’s our elected officials, that are giving away our hard earned bucks to the oil companies. Why don’t they at least reduce the subsidy according to the amount of their bottom line. If they are making a profit, they don’t need the subsidy. We keep making these mistakes by letting our Senators and congress men and women give away our tax dollars to the companies that don’t need them.

y our money for some things that don’t make any sense. It’s just one stupid thing after another. What sense does it make to pay farmers not to grow corn when it is used to produce ethenol. Don’t we have a need for an alternative fuel? There is an agency that is put in place to keep a watchful eye on the drug companies, to make certain they are doing the right thing. Well they are highly deficient in doing their job. Those drugs companies are passing out drugs every day that are flawed.   If these companies cared anything about the people their drugs are meant for they wouldn’t be over charging for their new products.

Now we get to the insurance companies.  There is a fine line between what they earn and what they pay their highese executives.   There is another one that they use to calculate their earnings, their profits, how much they pay out each year and they have a way of calculating their taxes that stretches out the earnings over a longer period of time and that can be years.  If they can show where their loses are greater than the profits then it would lower the taxes.  This hides their true earnings so they can pay the top executives more annual pay and give greater bonuses.

Let’s take a rough look at the banks.  These guys are crooks of the first order.  The customers are hooked into paying huge penalties on every little flaw they make and we all know that no amount of people would be able to keep up with all of the errors bank customers make, these errors would have to be identified and debited by computers that work fast enough to tabulate hundreds of thousand error and balancing of accounts daily.  The amount they charge for these infraction amounts to millions and what they charge for the computer to tally them is only a fraction of a second.  Take for example what is charged for the use of a debit card at an ATM that is not owned by the bank.  The owner of the ATM may charge anything up to $3.00 per transaction, and the bank may charge up to $2.00 per transaction.

The congress and the senate just give away our money until we can’t stand it any longer. I don’t know why they think we are not paying attention to what they are doing, but it does not take a Rhodes Scholar to know you are getting screwed. We are not getting our monies worth. They mess things up and it may take years for the general public to see the consequences, but it’s just like whole milk, the fat always rises to the top.
