It seems that the elected officials give away all of our goodies. We give them the power and they really take advantage of it.
Everyone, in their own way is discussing the price of gasoline now. The main thing that we cannot understand is why the cost keeps going up by two or three cents a day.
Why do we keep getting bilked by the oil companies when they are making record profits of more than 50% over last year? They are robbing the American people daily when it is unnecessary. I can understand the increase of gasoline but what I can’t understand is, why if they are making record profits do we have to keep subsidizing them to the tune of 4 billion dollars per year.
It’s our elected officials, that are giving away our hard earned bucks to the oil companies. Why don’t they at least reduce the subsidy according to the amount of their bottom line. If they are making a profit, they don’t need the subsidy. We keep making these mistakes by letting our Senators and congress men and women give away our tax dollars to the companies that don’t need them.
y our money for some things that don’t make any sense. It’s just one stupid thing after another. What sense does it make to pay farmers not to grow corn when it is used to produce ethenol. Don’t we have a need for an alternative fuel? There is an agency that is put in place to keep a watchful eye on the drug companies, to make certain they are doing the right thing. Well they are highly deficient in doing their job. Those drugs companies are passing out drugs every day that are flawed. If these companies cared anything about the people their drugs are meant for they wouldn’t be over charging for their new products.
Now we get to the insurance companies. There is a fine line between what they earn and what they pay their highese executives. There is another one that they use to calculate their earnings, their profits, how much they pay out each year and they have a way of calculating their taxes that stretches out the earnings over a longer period of time and that can be years. If they can show where their loses are greater than the profits then it would lower the taxes. This hides their true earnings so they can pay the top executives more annual pay and give greater bonuses.
Let’s take a rough look at the banks. These guys are crooks of the first order. The customers are hooked into paying huge penalties on every little flaw they make and we all know that no amount of people would be able to keep up with all of the errors bank customers make, these errors would have to be identified and debited by computers that work fast enough to tabulate hundreds of thousand error and balancing of accounts daily. The amount they charge for these infraction amounts to millions and what they charge for the computer to tally them is only a fraction of a second. Take for example what is charged for the use of a debit card at an ATM that is not owned by the bank. The owner of the ATM may charge anything up to $3.00 per transaction, and the bank may charge up to $2.00 per transaction.
The congress and the senate just give away our money until we can’t stand it any longer. I don’t know why they think we are not paying attention to what they are doing, but it does not take a Rhodes Scholar to know you are getting screwed. We are not getting our monies worth. They mess things up and it may take years for the general public to see the consequences, but it’s just like whole milk, the fat always rises to the top.
